How to Foam Roll the Lats
This video shows how to foam roll the lats. The lats are very large muscles and dysfunction with these muscles could result in shoulder issues, back and hip issues. When foam rolling, make sure you roll along the side of your shoulder blade as that is typically the most tender part of the lats. You will also include the teres major which is also a commonly tight muscle because it assists with the same movements as the lats.
Remember to hold the roller on the extra tender spots until they subside. Stretching after will be very beneficial as well. Make sure you hold each stretch for at least 45-60 seconds.
