The Pendulum Exercise for Balance
The pendulum is a great exercise for balance. This can be felt in your ankle, knee, hip and even shoulder joint. Look at the lower leg, you can see those muscles working to keep me balanced. All you need is a resistance band, or something similar, either a kettle bell, dumbbell, or even a gallon of water. Keep the arm bent and slowly start swinging the pendulum. You can start on a more stable surface like the floor and as you advance you can use a more unstable surface like a balance pad or balance disc. Perfect exercise if you’ve had any injury at the ankle, knee and hip joint. Or if you’re just clumsy and fall all the time.
